Praying Psalm 78:21-31

Lord, when you rain down blessings on me and provide for my needs, do I mistake your material blessings for approval?

Am I simply craving what satisfies me, what fulfills me, what I think gives my life meaning and purpose and yet forsaking the path of true abundance?

Do I miss your teaching and the words of your mouth while I test you in my heart, insisting on my personal comfort?

When I want more than I have and am not content with your provision, do I betray my lack of trust in your saving power?

Grant me a listening, trusting heart today, Lord.
