Praying Psalm 78:17-20

What do I crave that I think you should provide for me?

Do I covet an easy life?

Do I long for success and recognition?

Do I thirst after freedom and independence?

Do I desire stability and security?

Lord, vanquish discontent in my heart.

Strike down the temptation within me that wants to accuse you of being insufficient for my needs.

Teach me that thoughts of “not enough” are rebellion.

Thank you that you have given me everything I need for life and godliness.

Grant me a spirit that is faithful to you.

Today - as every day - I swear allegiance to Jesus my King.
