Praying Psalm 74

Lord, let me not turn back in shame (verse 21) because the sanctuary of our family is in ruins (verse 3).

Instead, let me praise your name (verse 21), despite not fully understanding your purposes for this season of our lives ("Why?" - verse 11) and despite not knowing how long (verses 9-10) this season will last.

Help me remember that you are all-powerful and that you reign supreme (verses 12-17), even though it may not seem obvious given our circumstances.

Help me recall that you ARE working salvation in our family (verse 12), even though your hand may not always be evident.

Give me a steadfast heart, O Lord!
